Barrel Sauna

In Teine, Sapporo, the hot topic the “Barrel Sauna” is making a grand opening. This authentic barrel-type sauna, which uses the wood-burning stove, originated long ago in Finland. Thanks to the shape of the barrel, the room temperature can be maintained and effectively circulates heat. One can also experience the “aroma löyly” bathing method, where essential oils are added to the heated sauna stone. After warming up, why not enjoy the winter scenery while having an “invigorating” winter experience through cold baths and the outdoor fresh air? One barrel holds up to 4 people and is recommended for families and groups (reservations available). Since there is easy access from the parking lot and ski slope, visits are possible anytime for both skiers and non-skiers.
